Training Practice

Our policy

Southampton Sea City Partnership are proud to be a training practice. This means that we offer placements to students and trainees to help enhance their learning and to support the success of our next generation of healthcare professionals.

Medical, nursing and pharmacy students

We are a teaching practice and students sometimes sit in with the doctors, nurses and other team members to observe appointments and to inform their learning. If you prefer not to have a student sitting in, please let the doctor or receptionist know.

General practitioner registrars

We also provide placements for GP Registrars. GP registrars are fully qualified doctors who are completing their training to become a GP. You may be offered an appointment with a Registrar and they are perfectly capable of providing care for you. They will sometimes ask for support and advice from other senior GPs on site.
